Learn About Why Internet Marketing Is Good

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Internet marketing can be either the simplest or one of the hardest ways to make money. If you consistently work at one method, you will almost certainly succeed sooner or later. The unsuccessful internet marketers, however, are often those who fall into the trap of trying one method after another without sticking to anything. So if you want to be a smart marketer, then you’ll have to focus on getting results, without worrying about the small things. We will now discuss some of the benefits of internet marketing and why it’s worth giving it your best shot. First of all, it’s easy to reach out to your target market on the Internet. For example, if your targeted niche is pittsburgh pa seo, then you can market to a larhe number of people from it.

One of the most simple advantages of Internet marketing is that you get to keep what you earn instead of having to share it with others. You are allowed a crazy level of control when you market products online. When you spend your days working at a “normal” job from 9 to 5, your wages are not in your control and you most often are stuck working at a fixed wage or salary. On the flip side of that, internet marketing businesses provide you with an opportunity to make your own living that is dependent upon how much work you want to do. With a typical job you don’t have a lot to show for your hard work because someone else is using it to build their own company. With Internet marketing, on the other hand, you are your own CEO and you decide what happens. There is absolutely no business that comes close to Internet marketing in terms of flexibility that it offers. It allows you to be financially independent and totally responsible for yourself. You only answer to yourself, a fact that keeps most internet marketers highly motivated.

If you work online you’ll quickly find that there is a variety of ways to make money. You’re not just limited to selling products. For example, if you’ve been working online for a while you understand that Google Adsense is a good opportunity for earning because you can install it on any website and then get paid for every click your site generates. Technically if you look at it, here you’re marketing products for someone else but instead of getting paid for every sale, you’re getting paid for every click that comes from your website. Besides that, you want to focus on other ways of earning like through pay per sale and pay per lead programs–where you get paid for every sale you make and lead you generate. No matter what product you’re promoting, whether it’s yours or someone else’s, you’ll see that you will have the freedom to market any product, in any way and still make good money. For instance, if you want to run an Adwords ad about pittsburgh blogs, then you can simply research other ads in the same niche and then go ahead with yours.

The internet is always open and it never takes a day off. What does this mean to you? Having an online business means that you don’t have to be concerned about when your customers are visiting you, because you are always open. You may be asleep or on vacation, but your website is still open for business. The internet frees you from having to be physically present to make sales.

We have covered some of the reasons why there is so much potential profit in internet marketing for anyone who has the interest and ambition. Once you learn some of the basics, you’ll find it can be quite rewarding. Last but not the least, no matter what niche you’re targeting; whether it is irwin seo or anything else, IM will be able to help you.

Time To Start Your First LinkWheel

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

I spent a lot of time finding partners to backlink with but I stopped because it just didn’t work like it used to. That’s when I began building my own backlinks to my webpages and watched my page rank started going up on most of my sites.

What is a Link Wheel?

You can think of a linkwheel as a spoked wheel with the hub in the center and the spokes connecting to the outer wheel for strength and stability. That’s what a linkwheel is like.

Your money site is located in the middle and the spokes link to other pages, all directed towards your money site.

A bicycle with only one or two spokes would not work would it. However the more spokes you add the stronger the wheel gets.

LinkWheels Can Be Labour Intensive

Basically you have a couple of methods to build linkwheels. 1. You can pay someone else to do it for you to save a lot of time and effort, 2. You can take your own time and create the linkwheel yourself and save money.

It will take some effort on your part to create a successful linkwheel but your efforts, if done correctly, will send you the traffic you need and help to increase pagerank.

How To Create Your Link Wheel

Let me explain how I create a link wheel by telling you what I shared with a fishing buddy a few days ago.

Step 1: Have Good Content To Link To

Personally when I land on a site that doesn’t have good content I leave. I don’t waste my time following links hoping they linked to something good. So good content is vital to make a linkwheel work best.

Most of time, especially online, you’ve got just one opportunity to gain a customer.

Step 2: Create A Spreadsheet To Track Your Link Wheel

The first couple of linkwheels got very confusing and I stopped the process. Why, because I didn’t keep track of what I was building and soon I was lost and confused.

Like my dad used to say, Don’t do what I do, do what I say.

Step 3: Your Keyword Focus Is Vital

I should point out how important keywords are. When you are writing always, always, always, focus on your keywords. Use your keywords in the title, start, middle and end of your articles also use them for your hyperlinks you create.

Step 4: Article Spinning Speeds Things Up

A real time saver for me was rewriting my articles. I also use private lable rights articles to accelerat the process. The key with effective linkwheel building is being unique.

  • Take the time to change something in every sentence, a great job for your thesaurus.
  • Switch some sentences and paragraphs around a bit if it doesn’t ruin the structure in the article.
  • I will also add something at the beginning, middle and end of your article to make it even more unique.

Step 5: Places To Start Building Your LinkWheel

  1. Article Directories – Find the top article directories, those with the highest pagerank and submit unique keyworded articles to them, making sure to link them back to your money site. Note: EzineArticles.com is tops for me.

  2. Use Squidoo to Create Lenses/Pages – Goto Squidoo.com and create a lens, which is basically a web page. Use your keywords you use on your money site. Use your keywords in the title and of course throughout the page without spamming keywords.
  3. Use HubPages.com to Create Pages – Do the same thing you did on Squidoo just make the content you use unique as the search engines eat up fresh content.
  4. Guest Post on Other People’s Blogs – For this to work well you will most likely need to find the blogs you would like to guest post on and then start leaving helpful comments. After a time of comment with value-added content as the blog owner if you might make a guest post. Do a good job or it won’t get accepted.
  5. Don’t Forget The Social Media Sites – There are so many socialbookmarking and media sites online that it makes my head spin but with a little work and thought you can get tons of links back to your money sites.
  6. Bonus Point – Video Sites – If you can make a few videos and spread them around the video sites, like Youtube and Tubmogul you will have many more links for your linkwheel.

Successful Strategies for Joint Venture Marketing

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Does the term joint venture make you feel uncomfortable? It can definitely be nerve-wracking to think about joining up with another person in the interest of business. These kinds of deals can be the source of a lot of trepidation. But joint ventures aren’t as complicated as they sound. If you have been searching for a marketing strategy that will increase your profits with near immediate results, embarking on a joint venture is the only way to go. It’s necessary to go through the proper process to get things going in order to succeed. At first, it might be a bit nervewracking trying to get someone into a deal, but keep in mind the profits you’ll make. Not only will you build a business relationship with someone else, but you could build a lifelong friendship with someone that you’d cherish. In order to give you the confidence you need to launch your first joint venture, I will elaborate on the details of the process.

The most important thing to remember is that getting JV partners is a personal task. You can’t just throw out an impersonal email and expect them to take it seriously; make sure to take the extra effort to let them know your intentions. Instead of this, try thinking on broader terms. In order to make a successful first impression, set up an appointment or coordinate a telephone conversation. Businesses get many JV deals, and they want to sift through them to find the best one. Having a more personal approach will make them take your business and your offer more seriously. An added benefit to this approach is being available to answer any questions they might have. After that, you will be able to sit down with them and show them how profitable it will be for them if they were to go into a partnership with you. Do your research thoroughly so you can present clear and tangible ways this partnership will be advantageous to their business as well as yours. You must illustrate the story for them, so that no doubt remains in their minds. Although being able to tell them about the the profits they will receive as a result is an important part of negotiating, you also should be able to show them how they will be able to generate backend sales as a result. Each side needs a shared appreciation for how they can help each other out.

Any potential partner will be nervous and unsure about whether you are a trustworthy candidate, and this is only natural, particularly when you are presenting a joint venture deal. One of the best approaches for making a business believe in you and your big-picture ideas is to let them see your product. Giving them this time will allow them to review and scrutinize the product for themselves. You want them to feel confident about this decision and to be able to sanguinely mail this out to their customer base. Your partner’s client relationships are of great concern to him or her, and for this reason, you can expect this person to be very conscientious about making good recommendations. When they can see for themselves that your product is what you said it was, they won’t hesitate to form a partnership with you.

Another approach to consider is granting a discount to the customers of your potential JV partner. This type of deal is irresistible to many people, and is also a trust builder. You have to keep yourself different from the others and give them a reason to buy. When you do this, you “sell” your partnership to your partner and your product to their customers. If you offer this deal to all your potential joint venture partners, it is highly likely you will get more than one positive response. The partnership you land will most certainly develop into a strong, long-lasting relationship of mutual sales, profits, and other benefits.

The Right Trade Show Booth Will Make Marketing Your New Products Successful

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

The way that your trade show booth is conceived and created should suit the type of items that will be showcased on them. In case you know next to nothing about display furniture modeling and construction you should avail of the expertise and talent of knowledgeable designers and wood crafters. In selecting people to consult, remember that no one can be considered expert in anything unless he has proven himself many times as capable of doing that thing. In the case of display furniture-making, this will boil down to proof that he can streamline display furniture to enhance the color and texture of the product as well as build it to allow the products to fit well into their shelves in a completely natural manner.

It is fortunate that such people really do exist. You can find them among the employees of outfits that focus on creating trade show booths for various commodities and services. There are companies which focus on renting rather than selling and vice versa. In general trade show equipment is rented by tradesmen because the business of transporting them to the site will usually be done by the renting company. The tradesman himself can meanwhile focus on other issues, like marketing strategies, that need to be resolved for the trade show to be successful

The best companies that rent out trade show booths update the styles of their booths regularly, using the best of the latest materials and technology for assembling such structures. This is the focus of their business. Combining the experience and technical know-how of their people with the comments and suggestions they received from their past clients, they are continually adjusting the appearance and appeal of their trade show booths to meet the ever-changing preferences of the buying public.

In other words, tradesmen can find no better equipment to market their products on, especially their new products, than  trade show booths from rental companies. If the client has no actual preferences of his own, trade show exhibit rental outfits will be only too glad to give them suggestions. If, instead, the client has certain stipulations which may not be suitable for his products, the experts working for these companies will always suggest something better. Because the success of the client’s exhibit is also their success, they make sure that what the client gets is what is best for him. This is reason enough to trust trade booth rental companies who are enjoying considerable popularity.

If there is nothing in their catalogue that is appropriate for the needs of the client they will suggest the best way of customizing something that will be suitable. Along the same line of thinking mentioned above, the best rental companies will not pass off anything as good if it is less than 100% satisfactory.

If ever you decide to rent a trade show booth, be sure that the outfit you are approaching is ready to answer for all the things discussed above. Otherwise you had better go and look somewhere else. You might consider asking for the help of friends who been through renting trade show booths.

Follow These Internet Marketing Strategies to Boost Your Traffic

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Marketing a product or service on the internet requires a variety of strategies that need to applied if you wish to see long term results. For this reason, lots of newbies to internet marketing find it quite complicated.

They lose their way and end up not knowing how to get to their destination. The best way to approach Internet marketing is to learn from your mistakes by starting off small and growing gradually. We will be looking at a few internet marketing techniques in this article that will help you become financially independent.

When you care selling and promoting products online, content is a critical factor. There is nothing that can provide as much value as quality content, even though there are many ways you can meet the needs of your target market. You should concentrate on providing unique and useful content, no matter whether you are putting together videos, sending out a newsletter or publishing an article on your site. Having good content benefits you in more than one way. First of all, it helps you create a strong brand and gets people to trust you. Secondly, the search engines will respect you and love your site if it has specific content that delivers high value to the visitors. Last but certainly not least, the one way you can stand above your competition is to provide your prospects with excellent quality content that no one else is doing. You are guaranteed to achieve success this way with your internet marketing efforts. Your objective with Internet marketing is to get as much exposure as you can to your website/blog. If you want to get a higher response you need to market the URL of your website everywhere. Be creative when it comes to listing your site’s URL. It needs to appear on everything from your business cards, letter heads, thank you cards, promotional items, and so on. The more people get aware of your site, the higher traffic it will receive. Don’t just depend on getting traffic to your site the traditional way, think out of the box and be unique in your approach.

Another useful Internet marketing strategy is to use viral marketing campaigns that get you free traffic to your website. Viral marketing simply means your message is spreading further and faster through the efforts of others rather than by your own means. Put simply, it’s a form of word of mouth marketing where your past visitors begin promoting your site for you to attract a flood of new visitors. A good example of how viral marketing works is to consider giving away a free ebook or video and encouraging your visitors to share it with their friends or to give it away themselves. The more value you offer your visitors, the higher the chances they’ll want to share it around to more people. Think about what kind of things people are happy to pass around and try to create your giveaway offer to appeal to this element. Give something of value, whether it’s information or education or entertainment, so you can create a buzz.

In conclusion, Internet marketing can be seen as a very competitive career option but nevertheless, there’s always a place for good Internet marketers. You will always need to promote whatever you are selling online effectively, from ebooks and software to physical products. In time you will see that it becomes predictable and you will easily be able to duplicate your success, even though you will have some learning to do when you first start out. Your level of devotion is what it depends on.

iPitCrew says The Auto Industry should look to other industries for great digital media marketing solutions

iPitCrew says look to other industries

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(MISSION TRUTH-MEDIA)- August 15, 2010 –
Nashville, TN – August 15, 2010- iPitCrew says look to other industries

At iPitCrew.com we think The Auto Industry should look to other industries for great solutions on how to reach their target consumers. Why? Because ‘Interruption’ marketing hasn’t been cost effective for years. I am sure in the last six months your local cable, radio, or newspaper account sales rep has stopped in your store and told you viewers, listeners, or subscriptions are improving, and they have the statistical data to support it! I don’t know about you but not one of them has been able to show me any information that quantifies the retention period or effectiveness of the message.

In the most sophisticated scientific studies done to date Martin Lindstrom and his group did just that. He writes about it in his most recent book, Buy-ology released in 2008. During one testing period while comparing Coke and Ford messaging aired on American Idol. Lindstrom’s group effectively proved that Ford’s traditional ‘at break interruption style messaging’ had no retention effect on viewers, while Coke’s participation within the show itself, with color branding of the stage, drink props, etc. had far greater top of mind presence among the viewers, and for longer, even though they never verbally mentioned the product.

Today some of the team from ‘the crew’ and I were running along the beach, we saw a plane flying overhead with one of those banners trailing behind. Ironically it was a Body Shop , but not one of us can remember which dealer or brand it was just eight hours later. We can pretty much guarantee if that Body Shop , had spent the same money on Digital Media, like iPitCrew’s Reputation Management or Service Repair video email systems, he would have gotten more frequency, more measurable results, and more ROI. Why because the brand message is offered as a tool to assist the consumer at the moment in time the consumer is most interested, and most in need, of the Body Shop brand’s assistance. The Super Charger is that it’s also the moment when the consumer is most connected to that brand. We couldn’t call out to the plane and ask the questions that were most on our mind in the same manner, the paper, radio, or TV, won’t answer the questions we ask. The nitrous in all of this is that ‘online content’ last forever, when the plane was out of sight the messaging event was over, same with the paper that now lines the daughter’s rabit cage, and the radio or TV ad that just finished playing, all are one and done, but online content is there to be seen over and over. Just food for thought the next time some fast talking sales rep stops in. The only thing you ever need to ask is what’s the ROI.

Better yet, let ‘The Crew’ from iPitCrew ask for you. We will ‘Super Charge’ your marketing efforts and bring your cost inline. People Pay For Value – Their Value, Not Yours

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Why do so many products, services and brands grapple with such a very basic concept: people pay for value. But, it’s their perceived value and not the value you assign to it.

Newspapers aren’t dying. People are just buying them less and less because they’re not getting the same amount of value out of them as the used to. Same with in-home phone lines. Most people feel that they can get away with just having a mobile number. It’s like this with movies as well. Movies in the theatre now play on pay-per-view or are available on Blu-ray only a short while after their theatrical debut. Most homes now have big screens (and big sound), and so the experience of going to the theatre has been diminished by many. Nobody cares about owning a physical CD anymore, when you can get a high quality version of most music for your iPod (or whatever).

More media and more technology means more choices. In a world of more choices, the former 800-pound gorillas of their chosen industries now have to figure out how they are going to deliver real value. The kind of value that people are willing to pay for.

What have we really learned about value in the past few years?

  • People will pay for an individual song (and maybe an album), but they would like the choice.
  • People will pay for great writing – whether it’s in a magazine, newspaper, book or online. But, it has to be great (and not just your perception of great).
  • People will pay to see a movie – they just might not go to the theatre or to rent it from your physical store any more.
  • People will pay to be entertained.
  • People will pay to learn.
  • People will pay to be better connected.
  • People will pay for an exclusive experience.
  • People will pay for a premium experience.
  • People will pay for better access to customer service.
  • People will pay to avoid hassles.
  • People will pay to get things on their own time schedule (when they want it/how they want it).
  • People will pay for speed (whatever speed means in your industry).
  • People will pay for something that will give them more social clout.
  • People will pay for products that are virtual.
  • People will pay for information.
  • People will pay for more mobility.
  • People will pay for more flexibility.
  • People will pay for more comfort.

Weekend fun: re-imagine your business (as Tom Peters would say). How might your business change if you tweaked your business model and figured out ways to really increase the value of what you sell (but the value as perceived by your customers… not your ego or historical data).

What else do you think people pay a premium for?

Six Links Worthy Of Your Attention

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Is there one link, story, picture or thought that you saw online this week that you think somebody you know must see?

My friends: Alistair Croll (BitCurrent, Rednod, GigaOM, Human 2.0, the author of Complete Web Monitoring and Managing Bandwidth: Deploying QOS in Enterprise Networks), Hugh McGuire (The Book Oven, LibriVox, Bite-Sized Edits, Media Hacks) and I decided that every week or so the three of us are going to share one link for each other (for a total of six links) that each individual feels the other person "must see".

Check out these six links that we’re recommending to one another:

  1. Top Secret America – The Washington Post. "Put on your tinfoil hats: they really are out to get you! This Washington Post piece on Top Secret America  includes an interactive exploration of the off-the-books US military spending, showing how much money goes where. Not only is it entertaining fodder for conspiracy theorists, but it’s a great demonstration of how journalism can work well in the digital age: this isn’t something that can be easily vacuumed up via an RSS feed and repurposed by someone else. This is part of a 2-year investigative project by the Post, nicely wrapped in interactive applications and videos." (Alistair for Hugh).
  2. What They Know – The Wall Street Journal. "As the world agonizes over privacy and anonymity, triggered in part by Google’s CEO’s assertions that we should just get used to no longer being anonymous, the Wall Street Journal put together a great illustration of the most prevalent invasion of privacy, tracking cookies. Cookies are a much-maligned scapegoat for cyber-crime; without them, we wouldn’t have the dynamic web we enjoy today. But when cookies are used to share information across sites, they can be put to all kinds of nefarious uses. This interactive app puts tracking in plain sight. The surprise leader? Dictionary.com, which puts 159 cookies, 23 flash components, 41 beacons, and 11 first-party cookies – 168 of which don’t let visitors opt out – into your web browser. Really? Why do I need over 200 cookies to find out what paranoid means, anyway?" (Alistair for Mitch).
  3. Why Parents Hate Parenting – The Last Psychiatrist. "There’s been much talk about happiness and parenthood of late, with more studies showing that kids (supposedly) make you unhappy. I’ve come across the Last Psychiatrist blog a few times in the past couple of weeks, and each time come away thinking: reading time well spent. Here he cuts apart the premises upon which the happy/unhappy parent paradigm is built. Conclusion: ego overload." (Hugh for Alistair).
  4. Fresh Air Remembers Historian Tony Judt – NPR. "Mitch recently had to cancel a lunch with me because of a funeral. I’ve had two close friends (one real life, one online) die of cancer in the past three months. Death is a fact of our existence that we aren’t good at coping with in Western culture. This is an interview with Tony Judt, the prolific British/Amercian historian, from a few months back, when he was suffering a quick decline from Lou Gehrig’s disease, an affliction to which he succumbed this week. It’s funny, and smart and moving." (Hugh for Mitch).
  5. The Data Bubble – Doc Seals Weblog. "It’s sort of freaky that Alistair’s recommended link for me was The Wall Street Journal‘s look at cookies and online privacy, considering I had this Blog post from Doc Searls (co-author of the magnificent business book, The Cluetrain Manifesto) pegged for him. While Doc does his usual role of breaking through the chaff really well, it’s his own thoughts on the subject (and the amazing comments within the Blog post) that really makes this piece shine. Regardless of which side of the fence you’re on about this topic, this Blog post made me love Blogs and everything the Internet has done for society even more because of the open conversation." (Mitch for Alistair).
  6. Books of the world, stand up and be counted! All 129,864,880 of you – Inside Google Books. "This story will either make you marvel at technology or leave you shaking your head and paranoid about the coming singularity. In this Blog post from the Google Books people, they attempt to define what, exactly, a ‘book’ is (a topic near and dear to Hugh’s heart – if you’ve ever listened to our audio Podcast, Media Hacks), how to count/track the amount of books and – on top of that – how many books Google believes have been in the world (and – if you know anything about Google – it’s an exact number). A pretty fascinating read about books, publishing and the future." (Mitch for Hugh).

Now, it’s your turn: in the comment section below pick one thing that you saw this week that inspired you and share it.

Twitter Marketing Tips To Boost Your Recognition

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Twitter marketing has grown to be one of the most effective ways to drive online traffic to your website and enhance your presence on the web. Branding your name or product is an excellent way to release product after product in a niche market and Twitter can help you do it faster. Twitter is an extremely large community so that gives you the opportunity to reach many thousands of people, surprisingly many marketers don’t use Twitter nearly as effective as they could. There are millions of Tweets a month on Twitter, so how do you get attention? In order to make this work in your favor, you have to build a foundation first that goes a long way in building your business, contributing to your brand and ultimately getting you more sales. Don’t underestimate the power of Twitter, everyone isn’t using it for nothing. Send a Tweet and reach thousands of people all, at the same time. Now let’s jump right in and look at some of these powerful tactics.

A Twitter tip that goes a long way is to be consistent in your efforts. You have to be absolutely serious about what you want from your Twitter campaign. This all might sound like a lot of work but it’s not, Twitter is so simple to use that your daily tasks will only take a few minutes. If your followers have to take you as an expert, they have to see the consistency in you. Many internet marketers down talk Twitter because they can’t make it work, and the reason is because they are all focusing on the wrong things. Focus on what works and set yourself apart from the crowd. Naturally, people don’t like to be sold to, so don’t; you can take a different approach. What is being helpful? Help solve problems and offer valuable advice, if you do this then people will buy from you without needing a hard pitch. You can make lifelong customers like this. If any information or assistance you gave helped someone change their life then you have created credibility that no one can deny.

There is something else worth mentioning, the only way to be able to apply what is in this article, you will need to be able to catch people’s attention first. Your tweets have to catch the attention of the right people and lead them towards the link you’re promoting. Writing boring tweets will only make things difficult for you, so put in the effort to make your tweets unique and interesting.

Successful Twitter marketing is all about being part of a community and building relationships. Keep in mind, you must gain your followers respect first, or your attempts to sell to them will not work. This is the essence of Twitter marketing.
