Changing My Approach To Internet Marketing Online

While I’ve had some success building an affiliate marketing business, I have’t achieved the results I’d hoped for so I felt it was time to go in a new direction .

Organization, or lack of it, is one of my main problems. I don’t set out a plan for the day but tackle assorted things as and when they come along .

Inevitably, that means I spend more time on trivial or personally appealing tasks and my business suffers as a result .

The consequences of not dealing with some issues, like paying bills, are enough to get most of us to deal with them on time (and when possible), regardless of how disorganized we may be .

Now, if only that sense of urgency could be applied to other aspects of my business, things would run a lot more smoothly .

Obviously, there was something wrong with my internet marketing strategy. While I’d gone a certain distance in my online business under my own steam, I realized that in order to progress to the next stage, I needed to get myself a mentor. And that’s where Alex Jeffreys and his internet marketing coaching program comes in.

His course began a couple of weeks ago and consists of weekly 4-hour webinars, about half of which is devoted to a Q&A session with members. The first webinar, Forward To Basics, gave we students a whole new outlook in how to run a business and this is the footing upon which all else is built . This involves learning time management skills and being able to set realistic goals and make plans for them.

The first major piece of homework that Alex has set for his students is to establish their presence on the web by creating their own blog. Students of all levels are in the coaching program so for some this is easy-peasy. For those unfamiliar with building blogs, extra training is available in the members area and former students in the very active forum are only too willing offer advice and help to those who need it.

Just a couple of weeks into Alex’s coaching program, I can already see that I’ll have to unlearn some bad habits and change some aspects of the way I work. It’s obvious that Alex cares about his students – he talks with them rather than at them. He’s come up through the ranks himself via his own mentors (Mike Filsaime, Rich Schefren and others) and the plan he has in mind for his students’ future is pretty darn exciting!
